Karen

Through a career spanning the charity, public and socent sectors Karen’s work has straddled civic innovation, social tech, grassroot networks and sustainability, all underpinned by an MSc in Environmental Systems Thinking.

Most recently she co-founded the skill sharing network Echo and led on community innovation at London Legacy Development Corporation.

Karen’s mother-in-law founded the first Montessori school in Manchester. Inheriting her worn and weathered materials ignited a curiosity and planted the seed which sprouted Playhood. Karen’s son is a proud founding member.
